Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you give free estimates?

A: There is a $250 consultation fee for Scott's Cohen's initial design consultation visit unless you are in a new construction community or are only having an outdoor kitchen designed. The initial consultation lasts 1-2 hours, during which he will go through our exclusive design questionnaire and answer any questions you have. At the end of that visit he will quote you a design retainer fee. (For more information about the design consultation, please visit our Design page.) The design fee ranges from $800-$3500 depending on the size and scope of the project. Both of these fees are credited to the project when we build it.

Q: How long does it take to create a design?

A: Someone will go to your property to take measurements and photograph your property, then we load them on the computer and Scott designs with the computer. He then has our illustrator draw perspective, or side view drawings, that show you what the completed project would look like. Typically this process takes 3-4 weeks, although it can take longer for large properties or if there are difficulties accessing the property to take measurements.
