Home & Garden Television
HGTV is an American pay television channel that is owned by Discovery, Inc. The network primarily broadcasts reality programming related to home improvement and real estate. In Scott Cohen’s most recent appearance on HGTV, in the fall of 2012 and spring of 2013 crews captured the result of his designs of 3 very cool, very unique swimming pools that include putting greens, waterfalls, fire features, deep well spas, sunken outdoor kitchens, outdoor fireplaces, pavilions, and a rope swing!
International Awards of Excellence
Formally known as NSPI, the APSP International Awards of Excellence honors members whose pools, spas and water features represent some of the best designs in the industry.
NPC – National Plasters Council
The National Plasterers Council history goes back to the creation of the Plasterers Council under the auspices of the Southern California Chapter of the National Spa & Pool Institute. With the vision and work of Bruce Hughes, the Council was formed to “provide a voice and support for swimming pool plasterers.”
Other priorities include nationwide membership recruitment, new member benefits, and new educational opportunities including a pool surface applicator certification program. NPC has a very strong foundation and vision which will take the association to new levels now and in the future.
PHTA – Pool and Hot Tub Alliance
Formally known as The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals/National Swimming Pool Foundation
PHTA is the world’s oldest and largest association representing swimming pool, hot tub and spa manufactures, distributors, manufacturers’ agents, designers, builders, installers, supplier, retailers and service professionals. PHTA offers pool and hot tub education and certification programs, provides valuable membership benefits, develops trusted industry standards and advocates for critical legislation.
PHTA members adhere to a code of ethics in business and technical practices and share a strong commitment to the safe, healthful, and enjoyable use of industry products.
Tile Council Of North America, Inc.
TCNA is a trade association representing manufacturers of ceramic tile, tile installation materials, tile equipment, raw materials, and other tile-related products.
Established in 1945 as the Tile Council of America (TCA), it became the Tile Council of North America (TCNA) in 2003, reflecting its membership expansion to all of North America.
The Tile Council is recognized for its leadership role in facilitating the development of North American and international industry quality standards to benefit tile consumers. Additionally, TCNA regularly conducts independent research and product testing, works with regulatory, trade, and other government agencies, offers professional training, and publishes installation guidelines, tile standards, economic reports, and promotional literature.

United Aqua Group
United Aqua Group is a collaboration of top-notch pool builders from across the country and the world who work together to share their knowledge and talents for common good. The United Aqua Group is an exclusive, invitation-only organization. They will accept no pool builder other than those meet their strict standards for quality construction, business ethics, and impeccable reputations.
Less than 1% of all pool builders in America have been approved to join the ranks of United Aqua Group builders.
Originally formed in 1962 as “Aquatech,” the United Aqua Group is comprised of over 120 pool building professionals, and over 100 retail store operators. They conduct ongoing professional educational programs to develop each pool builder’s capability in the overall planning process and to emphasize each member’s leadership role in customer service. Neither a franchise nor a corporate chain, it’s the nation’s #1 Society of Pool-Building Professionals.
