Mermaid Fountain Project Portfolio

Scott Cohen says:

“The client wanted to create a a side yard fountain with a bronze mermaid, but did not like the look of the store bought mermaids. I suggested we cast the client nude to create the molds to build our own mermaid. I have 16 years experience as a sculptor and ceramics tile maker, but this was the biggest tile I have yet to make. The finished piece was 7 feet in length. The porcelain mermaid is glaze fired in an antique bronze.”
